Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm

Clasp your eyes upon rolling hills of purple lavender and manicured gardens at Lavandula in Shepherd’s Flat, just 10 minutes out from Daylesford. Here, uncover the local history, partake in tri-annual harvests or just enjoy the calming ambience.

LAVANDULA, A LABOUR OF LOVE

Carol White had toiled for 30 years to bring the 1860s estate back to its original splendour. Here, the entrepreneur established lavender production, restored sand-stone buildings and introduced historic tours.

Three times a year you’ll find the lavender in bloom but the fruits of Carol’s labours are yours to take home year-round. Enjoy pizzas and lavender scones, learn about lavender’s benefits and find glorious beauty products, distilled oils and hand-crafted gifts.

But it’s not all lavender with home-made conserves and olive oil pressed onsite and more.

UNCOVERING LAVANDULA’S HISTORY

Within ancient walls, discovers Lavandula’s Italian Swiss roots with history buff Jack Larm leading the way.

Stunning 1860s friezes hang upon hand-plastered walls transporting you to when frustrated gold prospector Aquilino Tinett turned to dairy farming.
