Macca chats with Ian Conway about everything to do and see in Kings Creek Station.
Kings Creek Station is a working cattle/camel station which lies 36 kilometres from the magnificent Kings Canyon (Watarrka) and is set amongst majestic desert oaks. It was established in 1981 by Ian and Lyn Conway and features facilities for camping as well as indoor accommodation and an opportunity to experience the outback either by quad bike or helicopter. The station itself sells camels for live export, live domestic sales and meat.
Kings Creek Station also features the magnificent Dreamtime Escarpment Package, a luxurious glamping option, spacious and beautiful tents set along the escarpment. You can lounge in the pool or on the deck, as you look out on the vast desert and see any wildlife that wanders past.
Basic supplies, meals and drinks can be bought at the station shop, and if you’re feeling peckish, you could even try one of their famous Kings Creek camel burgers.
