This years Family Parks national rally, again held at Apex Riverbeach, Mildura was an outstanding success. With double the numbers attending, with double the fun, and with already double the numbers asking about next year – how could it not be.
Hosts, Darryl and Margaret Beasly surpassed anything they organised last year. A pristine location, in a ‘climate’ friendly part of the world, and with over 100mtrs of pure Murray River, beach frontage – the setting was superb.
Sunday night commenced with a serious ‘beer & wine tasting’ courtesy of Roger Fuller from Yarrawonga Manufactured Housing who sponsored all the drinks for the evening.
The beer and wine tasting was then enhanced by a truly great BBQ – sausages, shaslicks, steaks, rissoles and salads (followed by cheese cake and pavlova).
Roger appeared to enjoy himself – especially with a brew called Mallee Bull, in his hands, all from the local brewery in Mildura!
A great first opening night moved on to several days of fun and great social activities, including:
– a visit to Thurla Farms which includes the Murray Cod Factory.
– a visit to Minter Magic, an Asparagus Farm
– Mildura Art Gallery
– Inland Botanic Gardens
– Pancake Breakfast
– And the final evening was spent on a Paddle boat dinner cruise
A fantastic few days was had by all. Family Parks thank Apex Riverbeach, for two consecutive years of commitment, involvement and serious fun. We all look forward to next year in May, when we get together for fun, frivolity and faces – at Deniliquin Riverside Tourist Park. Ring Family Parks now with your expression of interest.
