First tourist cabin arrives at Experience Lancelin Holiday Park

Family holiday makers seeking ocean views are in for a pleasant surprise, with Experience Lancelin Holiday Park introducing tourist cabins this year.

Their installation follows major caravan and camping site overhauls at the Coral Coast caravan park, which are ongoing since 2017.

FIRST TOURIST CABINS

The first of eight new two-bedroom cabins has arrived at the mid-coast caravan park where it awaits fit-out hopefully ahead of Western Australia’s September school holidays.

“These are our very first cabins available for tourists,” says Jaime on behalf of Experience Lancelin Holiday Park.

Perth manufacturer Holtro Group transported the first one a few weeks back, loading it up and hitting the road by 7am.

“Once they all arrive, we’ll get floorers, plasterers, electricians and plumbers to hook them up and apply the finishing touches at the same time,” Jaime reveals.

FULLY FURNISHED AND SELF-CONTAINED

Bookings for the new ocean-facing cabins will open soon, says Jaime, signalling a milestone in the park’s ongoing improvement since 2017.

“They will be fully self-contained, serviced with all linen provided,” Jaime explains.

Aimed at families, the cabin sites are near the playground, indoor heated pool and Perth’s largest giant jumping pillow.

“We are right on the beach overlooking the Indian Ocean. It’s a great spot to watch the wind and kite surfers here.”

PERTH’S ONLY DRIVE-THROUGH CHECK IN

Other recent refurbishments include new camping mats and site levelling at the unpowered beach-fronted campground. This follows upgrades to caravan sites elsewhere.

“It’s been a big undertaking; a lot of earth works providing continual improvements to grassed and concrete sites.”

The caravan park also has a new spacious camp kitchen that’s just two years old.

“We also installed the Coral Coast’s only drive-through check-in in 2019,” says Jaime.

It’s looking great, but there’s more to be done: “Once all the camping sites are done, we’ll invest in a few more cabins.”

And glamping?

“That’s something we’re definitely exploring.”
