Calling all kitchen kings and barbecue queens! Do you have a secret family recipe that you are dying to share? Perhaps you have a great dish that is an absolute hit at the holiday park! Kiama Coast Holiday Parks is hunting for recipes that celebrate local flavours and honour holiday memories, for a new cookbook, Eat Camp Cook – along the Kiama Coast.
The Kiama Coast Holiday Parks initiative is set to consist of a compilation of the best meals, snacks and treats that will not only showcase the region and local produce, but also be whipped up and devoured while on the go.
Kiama’s culinary campsite creations will be devoured for years to come thanks to thisultimate holiday keepsake.
Kiama Mayor Mark Honey said the cookbook will serve as a precious memento for visitors who have holidayed with their loved ones within the Kiama Municipality.
“Food has the ability to transport us back to special moments in time, and there’s nothing quite like a good meal created and eaten with friends & family at a campsite,” Cr Honey said.
“Every campsite, caravan and cabin chef has a specialty meal they whip up while on holidays,” Cr Honey said.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to make them a part of the ultimate camp keepsake, and to make sure they’re enjoyed for many years to come.”
