This year, NRMA kicked a major goal for kids fighting cancer, helping Camp Quality raise more than $70k for Camp Quality’s Camp In across the group.
On July 30, parks contributed half their caravan and campsite fees for the charity drive, raising additional funds with pancake breakfasts, winter-warmer soups, sausage sizzles and more. While acoustic singers, bands, fire twirlers and magicians entertained guests.
All NRMA parks were involved with NRMA Ocean Beach Holiday Resort, NRMA Bowen Beachfront Holiday Park, NRMA Port Macquarie Breakwall Holiday Park, NRMA Echuca Holiday Park, NRMA Palm Cove Holiday Park, and NRMA Phillip Island Beachfront holiday Park among the most successful fundraisers.
Camp In, anywhere
NRMA supported the Camp Quality Camp In through various means, with efforts extending beyond their caravan park and resort borders.
Indeed, NRMA also urged motorists and holidaymakers to host fundraising Camp Ins at home, via messaging within the parks and resorts, on affiliated Facebook pages and tapping into the NRMA Blue member benefits network, Australia-wide.
This was the first year NRMA was involved with the Camp Quality Camp In fundraiser. The group is delighted to have helped Camp Quality raise so much money, and will continue to support the fundraiser initiative annually.
NRMA offering on-going support
Likewise, Camp Quality Chief Operator Officer Deborah Thomas is pleased to welcome NRMA’s support.
“Camp In is an important fundraiser and awareness campaign to support these kids and their families impacted by cancer,” says Ms Thomas.
NRMA also provides Camp Quality accommodation for Camp Quality Retreats, an involvement the group is immensely proud of.
“We’re thrilled to donate to and partner with Camp Quality to give these kids and their families the chance to get away and have a holiday at our parks and resorts. We hope their stay brings them some joy in an incredibly difficult time,” says NRMA Parks and Resorts CEO Paul Davies.
