The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCPA) will remove a large 10,000L water tank in its latest campground upgrades, reintroducing ocean views to its communal spaces at the charming Queens Park bush-style park.
Upgrades include a gorgeous new barbecue-camp kitchen as well as better shower, toilet and bathroom amenities for existing travellers.
“The surface of the camp kitchen/ barbecue area will better suit wheelchair users and there will be accessible bathrooms as well,” says Paul Rogasch, spokesperson for the GORCPA.
Planned roadworks will smooth out the driving surfaces for easier access around the campground and into the campsites.
“We are a self-funded government authority … so the cost of staying with us is reinvested to protect the sand dunes, our caravan parks and up-keeping the foreshore reserves,” says Paul.
