Australia’s premier live music trivia quiz RocKwiz LIVE! is hitting the road and coming to Swan Hill as the
inaugural ‘Under The Stars’ event at Riverside Park on Saturday 12 November.
Brian Nankervis, Julia Zemiro, and The RocKwiz OrKestra will bring their entertaining mix of celebrities, chat, music, and comedy to the Sound Shell stage for this all ages event.
Live local acts, in camp chair comfort
Audience members have the opportunity to join a host of special guests and be a part of the action putting their music knowledge to the test. Pack your favourite deck chair, blanket or even a bean bag and settle back to enjoy a fantastic night of music, fun and laughter. Bring a picnic hamper and snacks to share.
Bendigo-based musician Grim Fawkner will start the night’s entertainment with his upbeat roots/country/blues originals from 7pm to 7.30pm. Grim has played hundreds of shows across multiple continents, opened for The Waifs and The Badloves, been a national tour support for Kasey Chambers Campfire Tour and opened for ‘Once’ the musical with his own numbers. He is currently recording his debut full length album ‘For The Edification of Clementine’
Looking for contestants
Brian Nankervis said, “I’m very excited about performing in Swan Hill. … I’ll be looking for likely contestants
before the show, so find me before the show, convince me that you’ve got what it takes to be on the RocKwiz
stage and we’ll see what unfolds. Expect the unexpected!
“There’s something special about being on the road. Establishing and perfecting set routines, taking risks,
finding new approaches. Adapting to new environments and changing situations. Travelling with a rotating cast
of musicians … household names and up and upcoming stars … and meeting fans who arrive as ordinary
audience members but leave as heroes, answering questions alongside their idols or singing Karaoke and
receiving standing ovations.
A much-loved tradition
“We’ve been doing extensive national tours since 2010 and there are always unforgettable moments …Dugald
and Deb Conway slow dancing in Perth, serenaded by the golden saxophone of a jilted but understanding Joe
Camilleri. Vika Bull and Steve Kilbey mucking around singing ‘Under Pressure’ in the back of the tour bus
somewhere between Townsville and Rockhampton … and performing it that night!
Midnight Oil’s Jim Moginie jumping up on stage and jamming with the RocKwiz Orkestra at Thirroul. Julia singing ‘Love Is In The Air’ with Isabella Manfredi and Gossling on our Vanda and Young tour.”
Don’t miss out … there’s nothing quite like a RocKwiz Live show!
