Mid-Western Regional Council will invest in 20 new campsites amid an upgrade to Rylstone Caravan Park, welcoming more RV travellers to the region.
Additional services including “a new amenities building” will form part of the Rylstone Caravan Park upgrade, commencing later this year. Camping sites will include power and unpowered options.
According to Elle Watson, spokesperson for Mid-Western Regional Council, Rylstone Caravan Park will close during the renovations until early 2022.
“[But] there are a number of other caravan and RV parks nearby at Windamere Dam, Mudgee and Gulgong.”

RYLSTONE UPGRADE PRECEDES RV FRIENDLY TOWN BID
In 2018, CMCA deemed the Mid-Western township of Gulgong as RV Friendly.
Council hopes Rylstone will achieve the same status once the caravan park reopens, confirming that it will lodge an application with CMCA.
Self-drive tourists visiting RV Friendly Towns, as nominated by CMCA, can expect to find fresh groceries close to suitable parking, low-cost camping for self-sufficient rigs, potable water and a free dump point.
Suitable parking is an important factor if you’re travelling with a motorhome or caravan.
