TOURING FITZROY CROSSING

Best time to visit Fitzroy Crossing is in the winter months when a constant 30 degrees is maintained and there is very little rain. The summer months brings with it the rains. This is the time of year when the river can rise as much as 13 metres!

Once an absolute hinderance to travellers to and from Fitzroy Crossing the construction of the original bridge in 1935 made it somewhat easier to access the town.
