There’s large sites for motorhomes plus room to unfurl a wide tent-folding camper trailer. Enjoy a spotless camp kitchens and barbecues, children’s playground and volleyball court.

THE GRAMPIANS NATIONAL PARK

You can spend a life-time exploring the vast, magical Grampians National Park. But few sites are more iconic than the breath-taking Mackenzie Falls. The short, yet steep descent is well worth an up close view of the 20m-wide, year-round falls.

For a memorable morning, try scrambling up to the Pinnacle from the Wonderland carpark. Or, for something easier, there’s the lovely leafy Venus Baths Loop commencing  from the caravan park. Although relatively flat, there’s great rock hopping on this walk for littler legs, if the Pinnacles climb is a stretch too far. A quick detour will take you through quirky sculptures within the Grampians Botanical Gardens.

 

TOURING HALLS GAP’S ATTRACTIONS

Set on more than 25 lush acres the Halls Gap Zoo is home to over 160 native and exotic mammals, reptiles and birds. Beautifully maintained, it’s well supported by the local community and the animals well cared for. Here, hand-feed giraffes, deer and birds or watch big cats survey the ‘pride lands’ on a centuries old tree.

Closer to town, challenge the little tackers to a round of putt putt before breaking for ice-creams on the 19th at the Grampians Adventure Golf & MOCO Gallery.

Partake in a Rock Art Tour or witness ceremonies at the Brambuk the National Park & Cultural Centre then dine on local fare at the Bushfoods Cafe. Experience a modern spin on the traditions, history and identity of the local Indigenous people at the Gariwerd Dreaming Theatre.
