WONDERFUL WYNYARD

The seafood is tantalising in this seafaring community but it’s not all wining and dining here. You’ll see signs of life, hundreds of millenia-old petrified within the dramatic Fossil Bluff, five minutes west over the Inglis River.

Australia’s most complete collection of old veteran Fords harbours within the Wonders of Wynyard Museum costs just $6 to see. Speedboat racing icon Francis Ransley restored more than 14 cars predating 1919, read his story here. The tulips of Table  Cape stun early spring; celebrate them at Bloomin’ Tulips October 12 this year.

Or, for memorable day trips within half an hour you’ll find Stanley and the Tarkine Wilderness, and Cradle Mountain less than an hour away.
