It’s a bit of a tale of two cities Mornington. Originally purely a holiday destination, it is now a suburb of Melbourne with a real holiday feel, making it a very popular place to be.
Our park of choice was the Mornington Gardens Holiday Park, a beautiful, lovingly looked after park only 5 minutes from the water’s edge.
While at the park we caught up with owners/managers Corey Smith and Stacey. Corey filled us in on how the park started because it just so happens it was run by Corey’s father and his father before him. These 3 generations of park owners have put their heart and soul into this park and you can tell. From the beautifully designed, hedge surrounded caravan sites to the great cabins this has a relaxed, private feel with all the necessary facilities.
The beauty of Mornington is that there are so many things to do nearby. Wineries are close, Arthur’s Seat chairlift a stone’s throw away, golf courses handy, beautiful restaurants around the corner, a safe beach for the entire family PLUS it’s the gateway to the greater Mornington Peninsula, no wonder Mornington has grown in popularity over recently. Mornington Peninsula Gardens Holiday Park is a great place to park yourself for a few days to explore this region.
